Ever thought about what tastes you remember most since you were a little kid. Which of those you had grown to hate and those you forever addicted to?
There are different taste flavours: sweet, sour and bitter. Almost everyone loves sweets and would remember their favourite candy bar. Then there is the sour, and it not to every body’s taste bud does have its followers and so one will remember it fondly or despitefully either way one remembers. And how about bitter? Its safe to say everyone would remember the bitter taste and mostly unfavourable to say the least.
Now, what about how we describe foods of different tastes. Notice we’re likely to speak positively and enthusiastically with slightly higher pitch about the sweet. And when talking of bitter or not favoring sour, we will deploy a lesser enthusiastic to a passionate hate of the taste in a low tone voice.
If you had experienced these tastes when you were very young, each will have a lasting impression tattooed in memory.
Experiencing life as we grow older, we will continue to encounter these flavors be it in a different form than to taste it in food. When you succeed in winning your first job, or getting a promotion, aaah the sweet feeling of that achievement. In contrast, losing a job or not been successful in getting the job the sour to bitter taste can be everlasting in memory, but will always fade away over time and that is the learning experience..
